Spanning 783 km, this ambitious greenfield expressway is an integral part of the Indian government’s Gati Shakti Framework. Once completed, it will seamlessly connect key locations in West Bengal, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh, dramatically improving the efficiency of both passenger and freight travel.

The expressway will slash the travel time between Kharagpur and Visakhapatnam from 14 hours to just 8 hours, transforming the logistics landscape. If contracts are awarded by mid-2025, the DPRs should be finalized by the end of 2026, with construction expected to commence in 2028.

Once finished, the Kharagpur-Visakhapatnam Expressway will be a transformative asset. Its modern design will significantly reduce travel time and enhance regional connectivity, contributing to the broader economic growth of India.
